President, Founder
Mr. LeRoy founded Crown Capital Advisors with the goal
to provide the personal "hand-holding" for business owners that the
larger middle-market and other banking firms cannot provide. Mr. LeRoy's
diverse experience, including owning, running and managing small and
middle-market businesses, being directly involved as a principal both
on the buy and sell side of transactions and having years of experience
advising middle-market companies is unique in the investment banking
world where, in most cases, bankers have only been bankers.
Mr. LeRoy is recognized as one of the most accomplished mergers and
acquisitions specialists with a truly extraordinary track record for
negotiating, structuring and closing middle-market mergers, acquisitions,
divestitures, cross-border transactions and recapitalizations. In more
than 30 years of business, he has acted as an advisor to entrepreneurs,
public and private companies, private equity groups and international
entities in transactions of every type in a wide range of industries.
Prior to founding Crown, Mr. LeRoy was Vice President, Corporate Development
of ZERO Corporation, a NYSE company, where his responsibilities included
corporate-wide strategic planning, strategic marketing, search and completion
of acquisitions, joint ventures and other business relationships, and
implementation of divestitures. Previously, Mr. LeRoy was Chief Operating
Officer of Biner Ellison Packaging Systems, a manufacturer of packaging
machinery, Managing Director of Huntington Holdings, Inc., a private
merchant banking firm engaged in the purchase of niche companies in
partnership with the management of those companies, and was a Partner
at Price Waterhouse. At Price Waterhouse, he participated in the Entrepreneurial
Services Group, supervised acquisition reviews, participated in public
offerings, and supervised the examination of financial statements of
a wide range of companies in virtually every industry.
Mr. LeRoy is a frequent lecturer to industry and professional groups.
He is a member of the Board of Trustees of Bjurman Barry Funds, past
Chairman of Board and a member of the Audit Committee, is a member of
the Board of Directors of Wedbush Bank and chairman of the Audit Committee,
is a member of the Board of Trustees of Advisors Series Trust (US Bancorp)
and is chairman of the Audit Committee, and is a member of the Board
of Directors of Brown International Corporation.
Mr. LeRoy is involved in community affairs through Board of Director
memberships in such organizations as Hillsides Home for Children, Big
Brothers of Los Angeles, Kidspace Children's Museum and Mater Dolorosa
Passionist Retreat Center and is a member of the Pasadena Tournament
of Roses Association and the Economic Round Table of Los Angeles. In
addition, Mr. LeRoy is a member of the Board of Directors and treasurer
of the National Association of Corporate Directors, Southern California
Chapter.
Mr. LeRoy graduated with honors from the University of Southern California
with a B.S. degree in international business and finance and a M.B.A.
with an area of emphasis in finance. He also holds a C.P.A. certificate.
